This board is simply awesome if you are looking to have any fun on any water body. It comes with a paddle that ensures this s possible and I have used this board for quite some time now and I can't get enough of it. The best thing about it is it's durability too. This board has never disappointed me in any way. It comes with a floatable paddle, backpack and easy pump so that you never have to worry about where to inflate it no matter where you go.
Pros. It is a very stable and easy to paddle board that is just perfect if you are beginning out or if you just want a good time.It also has incredible stiff after pumping making sure that there is enough grip.
Cons.I haven't encountered any downsides to this board and I don't hope to. It's just durable and I really live it.This board is just awesome and I recommend it for holidaying or just a life on the beach. You won't get enough of it just like I.
Great family board because of durability and soft top surface. Can float a couple of kids easily. Not great for adults over 185 lbs. Ample stability but not made for speed. Carrying weight is good.
Pros: Durability and safety.
Cons: Speed and tracking compromised.
Usage: Recreational use in all environments.
I got this paddleboard back in the middle of January when they ran out of the old SPK4 and upgraded me to Monster and wanted to wait a few months before leaving a review to verify it's quality after continued use and I can say that it is a fantastic board and I am very happy with it.
First thing I will say is make sure, if you do get an inflatable paddle board, that it's 6 inches thick. I've ridden some of the 4-inch Aqua Marina models and they definitely dip in the middle unless you're super light (
Happy with purchase. Slightly disappointed with postage service as I requested depot pickup numerous times and was still delivered and left at my property.otherwise very positive experience. Kind regards Adam Parker
Haven't used my board yet hoping to go this weekend . Will keep you posted :thumbsup:
Thanks Sunny and team for sending our BIC Wind 10'6 SUP. from ordering to receiving the process was simple and Sunny always available to answer any silly questions. Only took 1 week to receive too as promised.
A company tring hard to satify their customers. Had a few hicups that were not their fault but worked hard to sort it out thanks again
Loving the Bic SUP with Techno Rig selected with great guidance and assistance with rapid delivery
I bought a stand board, paddle and a bag with The Yoga Boarder company, I really appreciate. The company demonstrated commitment. The delivery is perfect as well. Thank you.
Love the Kayak, very versatile 1 or 2 person. I use it with my 6 years old and it's very stable and comfortable. I'm thinking about purchasing the shell + the backbone to make it even more rigid.
It's a 15 feet kayak so it's not light but once inflated and on the water it's a great product!
These are really good. Takes 5 minutes to pump by hand. Folds up neatly into the carrying sack. Put two of them in the trunk of my car!
Love this kayak!! Is easybto inflate and deflate. Comes with storage bag for easy carrying. Lots of room inside and handled well on lake!!
Paddled the Chinook XP on a number of occasions and conditions. It's a great stable boat for beginners, as a platform to fish from, to do light touring (eg overnight), and general recreation.
It has a fair amount of weight tho. Two of us have carried the XP across fields to get to a river (approx 400 yards) and it's very tiring. If this is your expectation then I suggest you get trolly wheels to carry.
Pack, pump, paddle, included with repair kit and pump gauge. This board has me "pumped", haha. 16PSi suprised me but its super stiff for a 4" board. My friends like to bomb rivers on this one. I keep it for myself, kids, and dog. Super-stoked on the graphics and what Connelly is producin
The kayak was set up within 10 minutes, which we thought was very good. On the water the kayak floated well and was extremely stable and easy to paddle. Pack up was completed quickly. Very pleased with it.
I tried the AE Sport Kayak without the backbone and found it to be a little slower than I had hoped. I measured my speed to be about 2 MPH at a casual paddle speed and 3.2 MPH at a "fast pace" (but not top speed).I purchased the backbone and my speeds increased to about 2.7 MPH casual and 4 MPH at a "fast pace". This is a significant improvement in speed and the kayak now seems to "glide" across the water. However, I went kayaking with my daughter in her AE Sport Kayak. She does not use a backbone. We decided that she really doesn't need it since her speeds match mine without the backbone. So here is the deal.... it really all depends on your weight. I see people say that the backbone made no difference for them. I have to imagine that these people are probably pretty light to begin with. My daughter is 5'3" and 120 pounds while I am 5'10' and 185 pounds. Due to my extra weight, I have significantly more drag and flex in the bottom of the boat without the backbone. This causes extra drag which slows me down. Adding the backbone increases rigidity allowing me to keep up with my daughter. If you are heavier and notice a lot of drag due to sag in your boat, then the backbone will definitely help. If you have very little sag to begin with, the backbone will likely not provide a noticeable improvement for the money spent. . But if I am going to go with someone else and have concerns about keeping up, I will definitely take the backbone.
I like it. I got it when winter is approaching and the lake is getting colder and emptier. But I noticed the difference with and without the backbone in my AE kayak. Looking forward for spring to use it more often.
It changed the whole way my inflatable kayak acts. The bottom doesn't sag anymore. It makes the kayak more rigid and able to "glide" much better.
Should just be included with the kayak as it greatly improves rigidity and tracking. Just consider it a required item, like paddles.
This is one of the best white water inflatables you can get for this price. It was definitely more for my money then I ever expected. Very stable, well engineered inflatable kayak. Handled class III like a champ. I would definitely recommend buying this kayak.
I purchased this for my Native Propel Ultimate FX13 kayak. I tried it in light river current with a sand bottom. Held in place well. I did tighten up the hardware on the where the anchor line ties on. I could see where it could come loose. I do suggest taking the entire line out before taking it on the water. You might have tangles that are much easier to address on land than in the kayak.
The arms dont always open and the shank will get hung up on them even though when you drop the anchor they are open. It does not grab in sand at all. Otherwise good and compact with a good bag.
This is from my Advance Elements AdvanceFrame review:
"We bought two of these wonderful kayaks. We were debating whether to go for hard shells vs. inflatables since we live in area where there is not much water to paddle. We tried the Expedition version at a local shop demo and felt it was quite good considering that it did not require us to purchase special roof racks and park one car outside of the garage. When we ordered these, we also got the backbones as we felt that when we were demoing the Expedition, it flexed significantly when going through waves. Man we made the right decision paying more for the backbones. Now we can say that we have hit the sweet spot. Not only do i enjoy the storage advantage, with the backbones, we can paddle these almost as fast as a good hard shell kayak with no detectable flexing of the boats. Highly recommended for people who want to get inflatable kayaks."
The bottom line is, get it if you are seriously about kayaking.
This has been a workable solution for me for hauling around to various locations to explore kayaking with a friend. I have made some mistakes, but those weren't caused by the design or quality of the product which is good.
